Srettha affirme que l'exemption de visa Schengen pour les Thaïlandais " n'est plus un rêve "

Le Premier ministre Srettha Thavisin a annoncé que les Thaïlandais pourraient bientôt bénéficier d'une exemption de visa Schengen, un objectif qui semblait très réalisable après des discussions avec l'Union européenne.
Lors d'un événement touristique, il a souligné que 2024 serait une année charnière pour le tourisme thaïlandais. Sous le nouveau gouvernement, une politique sans visa était l'une des premières actions démontrant l'accent mis sur la promotion du tourisme. Une exemption de visa réciproque existe déjà avec la Chine, conduisant à un triplement prévu des touristes chinois par rapport aux chiffres de 2019. Srettha a rapporté des commentaires positifs de l'UE sur l'exemption de visa potentielle pour les citoyens thaïlandais, soulignant que c'était une attente réaliste. Il prévoit également d'améliorer les facilités d'immigration en prévision de l'augmentation de l'activité de voyage.
