Srettha sagt, dass die Aufhebung des Schengen-Visums für Thais nicht länger ein Traum ist

Der Ministerpräsident Srettha Thavisin kündigte an, dass die Thailänder bald von der Schengen-Visumfreiheit profitieren könnten, ein Ziel, das nach Gesprächen mit der Europäischen Union sehr erreichbar schien.
Bei einer Tourismusveranstaltung hob er hervor, dass 2024 ein Meilenstein für den thailändischen Tourismus sein würde. Unter der neuen Regierung war eine visumfreien Politik eine der ersten Maßnahmen, die den Fokus auf die Förderung des Tourismus zeigte. Eine gegenseitige Visumfreigabe mit China existiert bereits, was zu einer voraussichtlichen Verdreifachung der chinesischen Touristen im Vergleich zu den Zahlen von 2019 führt. Srettha berichtete von positiven Rückmeldungen der EU zur potenziellen Visafreiheit für thailändische Bürger und betonte, dass es eine realistische Erwartung sei. Er plant auch, Einwanderungsmöglichkeiten in Erwartung einer erhöhten Reiseaktivität zu verbessern.
