BYD and Rêver Partner to Build Electric Bus and Truck Factory in Thailand, Creating Jobs and Supporting EV Industry Growth
Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD has granted a license to its Thai distributor, Rêver Automotive, to build an electric bus and truck factory in Thailand.
The new company, Rêver Bus and Truck, will manufacture electric buses and trucks using BYD technologies, including the company's iron-phosphate batteries and six-in-one motor controllers.
The partners did not reveal a timeline for the factory but mentioned that it would produce both internal and external parts for EVs. Rêver Bus and Truck, in partnership with BYD, announced the opening of a new EV factory in Thailand to support the country's goal of becoming an EV hub in the region.
BYD's General Manager, Liu Xueliang, expressed confidence in Rêver's potential to lead the EV industry in Thailand and pledged BYD's support for expansion.
This marks the first time BYD's commercial vehicle technologies will be used to build a factory outside China.

The factory is expected to create numerous jobs and generate significant revenue for the country.

After-sale services will be provided by the companies with skilled engineering teams and high-quality spare parts.
