Chang Beer Intensifies Rivalry in the Thai Beer Market

The Thai beer market is led by Boon Rawd Brewery, owner of Singha and Leo brands, with a 62-63% market share. Chang Beer, holding 32%, aims to become the top brand through expanding its portfolio and innovations. Increased tourism is expected to boost the market to over 2 billion litres by 2025, while Boon Rawd remains confident in sustaining its lead through proactive marketing.
The Thai beer market is currently led by Boon Rawd Brewery, known for Singha and Leo beers, holding a dominant 62-63% market share.

Chang Beer, with a 32% share, is aggressively pursuing the top spot by expanding its product portfolio, distribution channels, and new innovations.

The market, projected to reach nearly 2 billion litres by 2024 with a valuation of approximately 200 billion baht, is anticipated to surpass pre-Covid levels by 2025 due to increased tourism.

Boon Rawd's Thitiporn Thammapimookkul remains confident in maintaining their leadership through proactive marketing.

Leo Beer, a major player within Boon Rawd’s offerings, holds a 50% market share alone and has led for 17 years.
