Miniso Unveils ‘Miniso Land’ Flagship in Bangkok to Prime Thailand Market
Global lifestyle brand launches its immersive IP-rich retail concept in Siam Square, marking first Miniso Land outside China.
The lifestyle retailer Miniso has officially opened its first ‘‘Miniso Land’’ store in Thailand’s Bangkok district of Siam Square.
The newly launched outlet spans over one thousand square metres across three floors and carries more than eight thousand stock-keeping units from over eighty intellectual properties including major global characters and regional exclusives.
Located in one of Bangkok’s busiest shopping corridors, the store features immersive themed zones, character‐driven displays and a specially curated debut collection based on Disney’s Zootopia, including plush toys, collectible figures and accessories.
Its opening is supplemented by a marketing campaign that includes a Zootopia-themed train on the BTS Skytrain network and social-media photo contests running until mid-November.
The ‘‘Miniso Land’’ concept was first introduced in Shanghai in 2024 and has since expanded through multiple cities in China.
In Thailand it represents the brand’s strategic effort to elevate from standard retail formats to large-scale experiential venues tailored to younger consumers and tourists alike.
Miniso Thailand’s chief executive, Jun Wang, described the opening as a key milestone for the regional market and emphasised the format’s focus on combining high-impact design with interactive retail experiences.
The entry into the Thai market underscores the company’s broader ‘‘Super IP + Super Store’’ strategy, reflecting its investment in creating destination stores that blend popular culture, licensing and lifestyle merchandising.
Observers note that by offering a highly curated, character‐centric environment in a prime Bangkok location, Miniso is positioning itself to capture rising demand among Gen Z consumers as well as travellers drawn by experiential retail.
The initiative may also serve as a model for further rollout of similar concept stores across Southeast Asia in years ahead.
