Princess Bajrakitiyabha Death Prompts National Mourning as Thailand Holds Royal Funeral Rites at Grand Palace

Thailand has entered a period of national mourning following the announcement of the death of Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati at the age of 47, with crowds gathering at Bangkok’s Grand Palace on June 13 for Buddhist rituals and royal bathing ceremonies as the King ordered funeral arrangements with the highest honors and senior officials joined the public in paying respects.
