Thai Airways Suspends Flights to Pakistan Amid Rising Tensions
Airline cancels flights to Lahore and Karachi due to airspace closure as tensions escalate between Pakistan and India
Thai Airways International has suspended flights to and from two destinations in Pakistan on Thursday due to the airspace closure in the South Asian country.
The national carrier announced the cancellation of flights TG345 from Bangkok to Lahore and the return leg, TG346.
Additionally, flights TG341 to Karachi and the return leg, TG342, have also been affected.
The cancelled flights were scheduled to depart from Bangkok at 7:50pm and 7:00pm respectively, with arrival times in Lahore and Karachi at 10:30pm and 10:00pm.
Return flights from Lahore and Karachi were set to depart at 11:40pm and 11:30pm, arriving in Bangkok at 6:10am and 6:20am the following day.
The airline has advised air travellers on South Asian and European routes to check flight details due to the closure of airspace.
Many international airlines are rerouting or suspending some flights in response to the conflict between India and Pakistan.
