Thai Telecommunications Regulator to Examine TRUE's Charges and Service Quality
Subscribers have reported a decline in service and higher costs post-merger. The NBTC, due to convene this Wednesday, has been asked to include TRUE's service issues in their discussions, as it is responsible for overseeing fair pricing and service standards.
The merger's oversight sub-committee is mandated to review TRUE's compliance with merger conditions regularly. Commissioners Suphat, Thanapant, Pirongrong, and Somphob, among the NBTC's 11 members, are driving this initiative.
The March merger, Southeast Asia's most considerable telecom union, propelled True Corporation to a leading position with 55 million users, overtaking AIS's 45 million.
