Thailand Approves 750 Billion Baht in Data Center Projects as Government Tightens Investment Screening

Thailand’s Board of Investment has approved forty-two data center projects worth 750 billion baht between 2024 and 2026, while a new four-pillar screening framework will assess future projects on national benefits, energy security, water management and environmental impact, with the government seeking high-skilled jobs and wider domestic access to artificial intelligence tools.
