Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas told Parliament that failing to secure emergency funding could expose Thailand to a potential 600 billion baht energy-driven trade deficit, while the proposed borrowing would support consumers, limit economic divergence and accelerate the shift toward cleaner energy.
