Thailand Moves Tourist Entry Fee Plan Closer to Cabinet Approval

Regulators are preparing to submit a proposed 450-baht foreign tourist entry fee to the Cabinet after public consultations showed more than 80% support, with revenue intended for tourism infrastructure, heritage conservation and medical insurance coverage for international visitors.
