Thailand’s DITP Drives Nearly THB 37 Billion in Export Revenue Through Trade Campaigns
Over 42,000 entrepreneurs benefit as DITP expands support across major sectors and international markets
The Department of International Trade Promotion reported that its 2025 fiscal year initiatives have so far generated 36.92 billion baht in trade value, supporting 42,409 entrepreneurs.
DITP had set a goal to achieve 92.36 billion baht in trade value across 510 projects and over 700 activities.
Major international trade fairs organized include the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, THAIFEX Horec Asia, STYLE Bangkok, and TAPA, which together generated more than 11.16 billion baht in trade value.
Additional events like Bangkok Design Week, ADFEST, and the Bangkok Rights Fair contributed another 256 million baht.
DITP plans further major events, including THAIFEX Anuga Asia 2025 in May, TILOG-Logistix in August, and another Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair in September.
The Bangkok International Digital Content Festival is expected to contribute no less than 50 billion baht.
In the agricultural sector, DITP is promoting Thai fruits internationally under the Ministry of Commerce’s fruit management strategy.
Business matching events for fresh and processed agricultural products have generated over 115.29 million dollars, approximately 4.04 billion baht.
Promotional campaigns have expanded Thai fruit exports, including longan from Lamphun Province sold to Indonesian importers for 798 million baht.
Thai fruits have been featured at international events such as SIAL France, BIOFACH Germany, Gulfood UAE, Foodex Japan, and WTM Latin America in Brazil.
Future plans include participation in THAIFEX Anuga Asia 2025, Seoul Food & Hotel in South Korea, Fine Food Australia, and the China-Arab States Expo.
On the creative industries front, DITP is supporting six of fourteen targeted sectors including books, games, design, fashion, film, and television.
Activities from September 2024 to March 2025 generated over 9.66 billion baht in trade value, benefiting 323 entrepreneurs.
DITP will also host a seminar on April 25 titled 'Decoding Trump’s Tax Policy: Opportunities in the New Trade Era,' in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Thai Industries.
The seminar will explore the impact of U.S. tariffs on Thailand’s exports and potential support measures for Thai businesses.
