Srettha and Vietnam's President Võ Văn Thưởng agreed to resume Cabinet meetings, with Vietnam hosting the first one in May to address rice pricing, benefiting farmers.
They endorsed the idea of facilitating cross-border tourism without multiple visas. Srettha plans to have his Tourism Minister, Sudawan Wangsuphakitkosol, explore this tourism stimulation.
Srettha also spoke with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet about a new Thai consulate in Siem Reap and thanked Thailand for supporting Cambodian workers.
In his meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Srettha confirmed a 2-million-tonne rice sale to Indonesia, which is experiencing a drought influenced by El Niño. Widodo will send officials to discuss agriculture with Thailand next year.
Additionally, Widodo expressed interest in Thailand’s Land Bridge project, with further talks expected.
