Yamaha Celebrates 60 Years in Thailand with Limited Edition of 999 Finos
Yamaha celebrates its 60th anniversary in Thailand with a special edition of 999 Fino motorcycles, called the "Yamaha Fino Final Edition." Starting in February, these limited edition bikes will cost 3,200 baht more than the standard Fino's price of 47,700 baht.
Each of these special motorcycles will have a unique license plate number from 001 to 999, and those with "lucky" numbers will be auctioned. The proceeds from the limited-edition sales will contribute to buying 10,000 helmets for children.
Pongsathorn Auamongkolchai, the executive chairman of Thai Yamaha Motor, emphasized Yamaha's significant impact on Thai society over the past six decades. The company is celebrating with various initiatives themed "Good to see you.”
Yamaha held a 14.4% market share in Thailand last year, with 269,682 of the 1.87 million motorcycles registered being Yamaha models. Despite an anticipated decrease in new motorcycle registrations to 1.71 million this year, due to economic uncertainty and increased household debt, Yamaha aims to increase its market share to 16.4%.
