From entertainment to environmental conservation, young Thai influencers recognized for positive global impact
Seven young Thais have been named in the prestigious 'Forbes Under 30 Asia 2024' list, highlighting their significant contributions across various fields. This annual list, released in June, includes 300 individuals from 21 countries, covering categories such as entertainment, sports, consumer technology, finance, and social impact.
Leading the Thai representatives is Vachirawit 'Bright' Chivaaree, a 26-year-old actor, singer, and entrepreneur, recognized in the entertainment and sports category. He boasts a massive social media following and has founded the sustainable fashion brand ASTRO Stuffs and the artist management agency Cloud9 Entertainment.
Atthaya 'Jeeno' Thitikul, a 20-year-old professional golfer, also features in the entertainment and sports category. She became the youngest golfer to win a professional tournament at age 14 and has topped the Women’s World Golf Rankings.
In the consumer technology category, Ty Lertwichaiworawit and Mint Leung, both 29, co-founded the social networking app WeGoWhere, which has garnered over 500,000 users. Khanisorn Meepong, 28, co-founded 24X, a maintenance service company with a customer base exceeding 50,000 in Thailand and Singapore.
Sisters Plengrhambhai 'Pleng' Kruesopon, 20, and Pynbhairoh 'Pyn' Kruesopon, 16, were recognized in the social impact category for their work with Care for Coral, Thailand’s first youth-led coral restoration NGO. Their organization has been awarded the Most Outstanding Youth Organisation award in 2023 and the Gold Ocean Conservationist medal by the Thai government.
The inclusion of these young Thais on the Forbes list underscores their significant impact and the promising future of their innovative efforts.
