BYD Offers One Year of Free Charging to Early Buyers in Thailand
Buyers of around 50,000 BYD electric vehicles in Thailand, whose prices were cut soon after purchase, will receive free charging for one year as compensation. The Thai government is negotiating for more compensation. Owners of qualifying BYD EVs purchased before July 1 can use about 2,000 Rever Automotive charging stations across the country starting August 1.
Buyers of approximately 50,000 BYD electric vehicles (EVs) in Thailand, whose prices were reduced shortly after purchase, are being offered one year of free charging as part of a compensation effort.
The Thai government continues to negotiate for further compensation.
Jiraporn Sinthuprai, PM’s Office Minister, announced that she discussed this measure with Rever Automotive, the Thai distributor for BYD, resulting in an agreement to provide free recharging services for one year to affected BYD EV owners.
Owners with purchases made before July 1 can access about 2,000 Rever Automotive charging stations across Thailand starting August 1.
