Google Cloud has inaugurated a new cloud region in Thailand, expanding the company’s infrastructure footprint in Southeast Asia and enhancing local capabilities to support artificial intelligence and digital innovation.

The establishment of the Thailand cloud region follows Google’s earlier announcement of a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar investment in the country’s digital infrastructure, including the construction of data centres in Bangkok and the Eastern Economic Corridor.

The project aligns with Thailand’s “Cloud First” policy and broader national strategy to drive AI adoption, digital transformation and economic competitiveness.
