Free Dental Care Now Available for Gold Card Holders
Gold cardholders in 45 provinces can now access free primary dental care up to three times a year through the NHSO. The service includes various dental treatments and is available in registered private clinics. It aims to reduce severe dental cases in hospitals and ensure quality care for cardholders.
Subscribers of the 30-baht plus healthcare scheme, also known as the gold card, in 45 pilot provinces can now access free primary dental care up to three times a year, the National Health Security Office (NHSO) announced.
Dr. Atthaporn Limpanyalert, the NHSO's deputy secretary-general, stated that this service aims to reduce the number of severe dental cases at hospitals while ensuring accessibility to quality dental care for gold cardholders.
The free dental care includes tartar scaling, teeth fillings, teeth extractions, dental sealants, and fluoride coatings.
Using only their ID cards, subscribers can receive treatment at any private dental clinic registered under the NHSO's primary dental care scheme.
Participating clinics are marked by Chumchoon Op-Aun signage, and a full list of clinics is available on the NHSO website (nhso.go.th).
Currently, the service is available in 45 provinces across Health Regions 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, and 12, with plans for nationwide availability by the end of the year.
