The event took place at the Thailand International Ice Hockey Arena in Bangkok’s Huai Kwang district to celebrate His Majesty the King's 72nd birthday and the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations.
Upon arriving at 6:26 pm, Queen Suthida met with Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong, Chinese Ambassador Han Zhiqiang, and Sports Authority of Thailand's governor, Konsak Yodmanee, before the match started at 7:34 pm.
As the first woman global ambassador for the International Ice Hockey Federation, Queen Suthida led her team through three sets, scoring the first goal.
The first set ended with Thailand leading 6:2, while China won the second set 4:3.
The final set concluded with a tie, with both teams scoring 6:6.
