This plan focuses on an eight-dimensional approach: Shooter, Sensor, Command and Control (C2), Network, Human & Behavior, Support & Service, Cyber, and Space.
A key priority within this roadmap is the replacement of aging F-16 fighter jets in Squadron 102, Wing 1, with new multirole combat aircraft, including considerations for the Saab JAS 39E/F Gripen.
Further procurement plans include a medium-range air defense system, development of laser-guided missile systems for air recovery, and acquisition of counter-unmanned aircraft systems.
Additionally, the RTAF plans to procure a new VIP transport aircraft to replace the Airbus A340-500, a medium-sized VIP transport helicopter, and advanced jet trainers for fighter pilot training.
These initiatives align with the Thai government's broader strategy to position the country as an aviation hub in the region.
