Russia and China Sign New Gas Pipeline Deal

The project will create a new energy corridor from Siberian fields to China.
Russia and China have signed a new legally binding agreement to construct a major gas pipeline connecting Russian gas fields to China.
The project, known as Power of Siberia 2, will transport natural gas from the Yamal region in Siberia, creating a new and direct energy corridor.
Russian energy giant Gazprom announced the deal, which also includes a provision to increase existing gas deliveries to China through other routes.
