Thailand Overhauls Laem Chabang Port Tariff System to Improve Freight Efficiency and Reduce Logistics Bottlenecks
Thailand’s Ministry of Transport has unveiled plans to restructure tariff pricing at Laem Chabang Port in a move aimed at aligning charges with actual operating costs and easing long-standing logistics bottlenecks. The reform targets the country’s main maritime gateway and is designed to improve freight handling efficiency, strengthen exporter competitiveness, and reinforce the Eastern Economic Corridor as a regional supply chain hub.
