SCG Chemicals and PTT Global Chemical have agreed to combine their Thai olefins and polyolefins businesses into a joint venture, creating a dominant new player in the global petrochemical market. The strategic merger, disclosed to the Stock Exchange of Thailand and targeted for completion by late 2027, is expected to generate up to two hundred million dollars in recurring annual benefits while boosting Thailand's industrial competitiveness.
