Thai Drinks and TAT Collaborate to Boost Local Tourism
Crystal Water Launches a 100 Million Baht Campaign with TAT
Thai Drinks Co Ltd, the producer of Crystal Drinking Water, is partnering with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to launch a 100 million baht marketing campaign encouraging domestic tourism.
From October 2023 to September 2024, Thailand's drinking water market was valued at 45.7 billion baht, with Crystal holding an 18% market share.
Under the leadership of Suporn Denpaisarn, Crystal's marketing director, the brand saw a 7% sales increase through expanded distribution, particularly in modern trade via Lotus's branches.
Despite heavy price competition, Crystal experienced 5% growth in traditional trade.
Seeking differentiation, Thai Drinks is investing in the 'Crystal: Connecting You to Blue Spaces' campaign to promote relaxation utilizing Thailand's scenic water destinations.
In collaboration with TAT, they have designed 10 unique packaging labels featuring famous tourist spots like Pha Dok Siew waterfall and Khao Sok National Park.
Customers scanning a QR code on the packaging can experience virtual relaxation via 360-degree nature videos.
Aiming to strengthen its presence in the North and Northeast, while expanding availability in Lotus's outlets, Crystal hopes to drive future market growth.
