The Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning about six unauthorized beauty and dental products, such as certain toothpaste and facial masks.
The public is urged not to buy or use these products. Following a joint raid with the Consumer Protection Board and Royal Thai Police, the FDA is taking legal measures against a company selling unregistered products in Bang Na district, these products being promoted by Chinese influencers online.
The products, which claimed benefits like skin whitening and tooth decay prevention, lacked FDA approval and proper Thai labeling. The FDA advises against purchasing these items due to potential health risks and affirms its dedication to consumer safety in the beauty sector.
The FDA also recently revealed that unsafe cosmetics containing banned substances were being sold online, underlining the dangers of buying non-approved products. The public's help in not supporting the illegal product market is critical in upholding safety standards.
