Thailand Expands Secondary Airport Tourism Strategy With Subsidised Airline Routes and Regional Travel Packages
Thailand’s Ministry of Transport, working with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and domestic airlines, has launched pilot all-inclusive travel packages across seven secondary regional airports. The programme includes a 50% reduction in aircraft parking fees for airlines opening new domestic routes, with the aim of boosting low-season travel, supporting provincial economies, and strengthening secondary airports in the North, Northeast and South as regional aviation hubs.
