Thailand's 'Sawasdee Seoul' Festival Celebrates T-pop and Thai Culture
Thailand's 'Sawasdee Seoul' Thai Festival 2024 celebrates 65 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and South Korea. Held in Seoul, the event features Thai pop performances by over 20 artists and offers booths with Thai food and crafts. Ambassador Tanee Sangrat emphasizes 'T-pop Story' as this year's theme, showcasing Thai culture to locals and tourists.
The Thai embassy in Seoul inaugurated the 'Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2024: T-pop Story' at Cheonggye Plaza, marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and South Korea.
This ninth edition of the two-day festival, organized in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Creative Economy Agency, and private partners, symbolizes a renewal after the Covid-19 pause.
Ambassador Tanee Sangrat highlighted this year’s theme, 'T-pop Story,' designed to display both Thai pop and traditional cultures to South Koreans and tourists.
The event will host performances by over 20 Thai pop artists such as Seya & Miya, Zom Marie, DJ Botcash, and more.
Additionally, more than 30 booths will offer Thai food, handicrafts, and items, showcasing brands like Central Group, The Mall Group, and Thai Airways, to highlight Thai soft power.
