Thailand's Ministry of Finance said 9.51 million people qualified for the 2026 State Welfare Card, while 9.31 million applications were rejected under a stricter digital verification system. The new individual-based assessment cross-checks tax, property and asset records across more than 50 government agencies, reducing the number of beneficiaries from 13.2 million in 2022 and directing support toward lower-income households.
