Thailand to Construct Second Rantau Panjang-Sungai Golok Bridge
Thailand will start building the second Rantau Panjang-Sungai Golok bridge in April 2025 to boost tourism and trade. Governor Trakul Thotham stated an Environmental Impact Assessment will begin next month. The six-lane bridge will provide a second border crossing route between Thailand and Malaysia.
Thailand is set to begin the construction of a second bridge project, named the Twin Bridge, in Rantau Panjang-Sungai Golok in April 2025.
Narathiwat Province Governor Trakul Thotham stated that an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) must be completed before construction can start, with the survey beginning next month.
The new bridge will provide a second border crossing route between Thailand and Malaysia, expected to enhance tourism and trade.
The six-lane bridge will run parallel to the existing one, which is too narrow for large vehicles.
