Thailand Tourism Sector Turns to AI and Higher-Yield Visitors as Hotel Supply Outpaces Demand

Tourism Minister Surasak Pancharoenworakul urged hotels to adopt artificial intelligence, revenue-management technology and tighter energy controls after a 30% increase in accommodation supply pushed average daily room rates down 3% despite nearly 33 million foreign arrivals and 2.7 trillion baht in tourism revenue in 2025.
