Tomorrowland Launches ‘Consciencia’ as Global Creative Theme Spanning Continents Through 2027
The iconic festival unveils a multi-year narrative uniting events in Belgium, Thailand and Brazil around a shared emotional universe
Tomorrowland has unveiled Consciencia, an ambitious new global theme that will define the festival’s creative direction across multiple continents in 2026 and 2027, marking one of the most expansive artistic chapters in its history.
Announced on January seventh, the concept is designed as a single overarching narrative that will connect Tomorrowland editions worldwide, beginning in Belgium, extending to Thailand, and culminating in Brazil.
Conceived as more than a visual motif, Consciencia introduces a richly imagined universe built around six foundational human emotions: Wonder, Love, Anger, Joy, Desire and Sadness.
Each emotion is embodied as a distinct faction with its own symbols, rituals and aesthetic language, forming an interconnected realm where emotional states become landscapes and storytelling takes centre stage.
Organisers describe the concept as a living narrative that will evolve over time, gradually revealing new layers and meanings as it travels across festivals and cultures.
The first chapter of Consciencia will debut at Tomorrowland Belgium in July twenty-twenty-six, before continuing at Tomorrowland Thailand in Pattaya in December and later reaching Tomorrowland Brasil in São Paulo in two thousand twenty-seven.
By linking these editions under one creative vision, the festival aims to deepen the sense of global unity among the People of Tomorrow while allowing each destination to interpret the theme through its own cultural lens.
As part of the launch, Tomorrowland has introduced The Legend of Consciencia, a fantasy adventure book that explores the origin story of the new theme and expands its mythological foundations.
The book is available for pre-order and forms an integral part of the broader storytelling experience that will accompany the festivals over the coming years.
The unveiling of Consciencia underscores Tomorrowland’s evolution from a single event into a global cultural platform, using music, art and narrative to connect audiences across borders.
With events scheduled in France, Belgium, Thailand and Brazil, the theme is set to guide Tomorrowland’s creative identity through the next phase of its international journey.
