Eighteen Thai businesses have been honored at the 2024 Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Awards, chosen from 64 applicants, including major corporations and SMEs.
Organized by UN Women with support from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and local partner organizations, the awards aim to inspire innovation and sustainable economic growth.
At the ceremony, Christine Arab of UN Women Asia-Pacific highlighted Thailand's impressive progress with women in management, noting that the country surpasses global and national averages.
The Thai government also received recognition for its commitment to gender equality.
