Airbus Expands Presence in Thailand to Establish Asia-Pacific Aviation Hub
Thailand emerges as key player in regional aviation growth with Airbus planning new operations centre
Thailand is experiencing rapid growth in its aviation industry, driven by advancements in aviation technology and increased aircraft orders.
The country is being considered not only as a hub for Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services but also as a significant center for advanced technology and engineering within the region's aviation sector.
The Asia-Pacific region is currently the fastest-growing aviation market globally, with forecasts indicating a demand for approximately 20,000 new aircraft over the next 20 years, accounting for half of global aircraft demand.
Thailand has been identified as one of the largest markets within this growth.
This year, a total of 820 aircraft are expected to be delivered globally, with the majority of orders originating from the Asia-Pacific region.
In Thailand, several airlines operate Airbus aircraft, including Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia, and Thai VietJet.
Additionally, Thai Airways is scheduled to launch its A321neo aircraft by the end of this year, featuring a new business-class seating configuration.
