Cold Conditions and Rough Seas Expected in Thailand on February Tenth, 2025
Meteorological Department forecasts low temperatures in the north and northeast, cool mornings in Bangkok, and rough sea conditions in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea.
The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for February tenth, 2025, indicating that northern and northeastern Thailand will experience cold conditions with lows around twelve degrees Celsius, and mountain peaks are expected to drop to approximately six degrees Celsius.
In Bangkok, cool mornings are anticipated, with temperatures around twenty degrees Celsius accompanied by a breeze.
A moderate to relatively strong high-pressure system or cold air mass over upper Thailand and the South China Sea will result in cool to cold weather across the northern, central, eastern, and upper southern regions.
In addition, the northeast monsoon affecting the Gulf of Thailand, the southern region, and the Andaman Sea is expected to generate rough sea conditions.
Forecasts show waves reaching two to three metres in the lower Gulf of Thailand, about two metres in the upper Gulf, and roughly one metre in the Andaman Sea, with offshore waves potentially rising to one to two metres or higher.
Seafarers are advised to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms, while small boats in the lower Gulf of Thailand are advised to remain ashore until the end of the forecast period.
