Arrest Warrants Issued for Thonburi Healthcare Founder in Fraud Case
Dr Boon Vanasin and Eight Others Charged with Public Fraud and Money Laundering
Dr Boon Vanasin, founder of Thonburi Healthcare Group (THG), is evading arrest warrants issued for charges of public fraud and money laundering, alongside eight others.
The Metropolitan Police Bureau secured court approval for the arrests, including Dr Boon, 86, his wife Jaruwan, 79, and daughter Nalin, 51, for allegedly misleading investors in medical projects and forging signature for loans, causing damages estimated at 7.5 billion baht.
Despite six arrests, Dr Boon and his family remain at large, purportedly having fled the country.
Police recently detained two women, Siriwimol and Jidapha, associated with Boon’s network in Nonthaburi, recovering a Mercedes Benz.
The case has seen 527 complaints lodged at Huai Khwang police station, spotlighting severe financial impacts on victims.
