MotoGP Confirms Full 2026 Thailand Grand Prix Schedule at Buriram
Chang International Circuit to host season round with packed three-day programme and global broadcast coverage
MotoGP organisers have released the full weekend schedule for the 2026 Thailand Grand Prix, confirming three days of on-track action at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram.
The event, which forms part of the 2026 MotoGP world championship calendar, will follow the established format introduced in recent seasons.
Friday will feature two practice sessions for the premier class, with times set to determine direct qualification into the second qualifying round.
Saturday’s programme will include a final practice session, qualifying and the Sprint race, while Sunday will culminate in the full-length Grand Prix.
According to the official timetable, track action will begin on Friday morning local time, with Moto3 and Moto2 sessions preceding MotoGP practice.
Saturday’s Sprint race is scheduled for the afternoon, drawing significant global viewership under the short-format structure that awards championship points.
The main MotoGP race on Sunday is expected to start in the early afternoon local time, aligning with prime broadcast windows across Asia and Europe.
The Buriram circuit has become a staple of the championship since its debut on the calendar, known for its long straights and technical braking zones that often produce close racing and overtaking opportunities.
Organisers have indicated that full spectator access, fan zones and entertainment programming will accompany the race weekend.
Broadcast coverage will be available through MotoGP’s official streaming platform, alongside licensed sports networks in Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas.
Local television partners in Thailand are expected to provide live coverage of all three classes.
Ticket sales for the 2026 edition have opened through official channels, with organisers anticipating strong attendance given Thailand’s established fan base and the race’s status as a major sporting event in Southeast Asia.
With the calendar confirmed and the schedule set, teams and riders will now incorporate the Thailand round into their strategic planning as the 2026 championship campaign takes shape.
