Pattaya International Kite Festival 2026 Launches with Spectacular Sky Parade in Thailand
The vibrant Pattaya International KITE on the Beach 2026 brings global kite artistry and family-friendly festivities to Pattaya Beach from February twenty-fifth to March first.
Pattaya’s sandy shoreline has erupted into a kaleidoscope of colour and creativity as the Pattaya International KITE on the Beach 2026 festival commenced at Pattaya Beach in eastern Thailand, drawing local residents, domestic visitors, and international guests alike.
Running from February twenty-fifth through March first, the event transforms the iconic beachfront in front of the Central Pattaya Shopping Center into a dynamic open-air gallery of flight and imagination under the theme “Sky Paradise of Happiness.” The festival’s organisers have highlighted this edition as one of the most ambitious yet, featuring Thailand’s longest kite parade stretching over one kilometre with more than one hundred and fifty uniquely designed international kites representing a dozen countries, creating a vibrant spectacle above the shoreline.
Among the highlights is the first-ever soaring appearance of MR. SUN, a twelve-metre mascot kite introduced by Central Pattaya, alongside a lineup of character kites from leading global brands and traditional kite displays.
Throughout each day, visitors can enjoy daily kite flying and performances, interactive workshops such as character kite painting, and a lively “Shop, Taste, Chill” zone featuring more than thirty street food vendors offering an array of local and international cuisine.
The festival not only showcases creative kite artistry but also reinforces Pattaya’s standing as a premier beach destination during Thailand’s peak tourism season, contributing to the local economy and offering family-friendly entertainment.
Residents and tourists alike have been encouraged to capture the vibrant scenes and participate in the diverse program of activities that celebrate both cultural exchange and community fun.
Winds and weather permitting, the festivities continue each afternoon, offering a blend of visual delight and seaside charm that appeals to visitors of all ages.
