Pattaya International Kite Festival 2026 Set to Unveil Thailand’s Longest Kite Parade
Beachfront celebration from February 25 to March 1 promises sky-high displays and cultural attractions in Pattaya
The Pattaya International Kite Festival 2026 is poised to captivate visitors with Thailand’s longest kite parade along Pattaya Beach as part of a vibrant seaside celebration that runs from February 25 to March 1. The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Pattaya Office has announced that the event, officially titled “Pattaya International Kite on the Beach 2026,” will transform the skies over the city’s coastal stretch in front of Central Pattaya into a canvas of colour and creativity, featuring both local and international kite enthusiasts.
Central to the festival’s appeal is the record-length kite parade, expected to be the longest of its kind in the country, with a diverse array of designs from traditional Thai motifs to contemporary creations contributed by participants from around the world.
In addition to the parade, the programme includes kite-flying competitions, interactive kite-making workshops and live music performances, offering a blend of artistic display and family-friendly activities that showcase Pattaya’s unique coastal charm.
The event, scheduled daily from around eleven in the morning to early evening, is designed to draw tourists and residents alike, enhancing the city’s reputation as a dynamic host of cultural and recreational spectacles.
Organisers have highlighted the festival’s role in boosting regional tourism and stimulating economic activity, positioning it as not only a visual highlight in the city’s calendar but also an opportunity to support local businesses in hospitality, retail and entertainment.
As Pattaya continues to expand its portfolio of major events throughout the year, the kite festival adds an imaginative and picturesque dimension to the destination’s allure, inviting visitors to enjoy both the natural beauty of the coastline and the cultural vibrancy reflected in the festival’s colourful sky displays.
