PTT Named 'Most Valuable Thai Brand' for Fourth Consecutive Year
Thailand's largest energy company, PTT, secures top brand value spot for 2024, marking a 25% increase from last year.
PTT Plc, Thailand’s largest energy conglomerate, has been recognized as the ‘Most Valuable Thai Brand’ for 2024 by Brand Finance, maintaining its top position for the fourth year in a row.
The company’s brand value reached an estimated US$11.3 billion, reflecting a 25% increase from the previous year.
Additionally, PTT ranked fourth among the most valuable brands in Southeast Asia.
Kongkrapan Intarajang, CEO and President of PTT Plc, attributed the company’s success to its vision, ‘Together for Sustainable Thailand, Sustainable World,’ which focuses on achieving balanced sustainability across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
The company’s commitment to energy security, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and expanding both its hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon business segments has contributed to its brand value growth.
As part of its long-term strategy, PTT has set a Net Zero Target for 2050, incorporating innovative solutions such as Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects.
This focus on sustainability has also enhanced PTT’s reputation for good governance and corporate social responsibility.
Brand Finance’s Thailand 50 2024 report ranked PTT as the third strongest Thai brand with a Brand Strength Index score of 82.4 out of 100.
Its Sustainability Perceptions Value stood at US$748 million, reflecting the company’s leadership in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
Alex Haigh, Managing Director of Asia Pacific at Brand Finance, praised PTT for its excellence in sustainability management and its significant contributions to driving the Thai economy and ensuring energy security.
In addition to its domestic recognition, PTT was ranked as the second most valuable brand in the Southeast Asian oil and gas sector in the Brand Finance Asean 500 2024 report, underscoring its prominence as a global leader in sustainability.
