Meanwhile, Indian rice prices are rising slightly, driven by a strong rupee, although demand remains sluggish.
Vietnamese rice prices are also pressured by competition but saw a slight decrease to one dollar 565 per tonne.
Vietnamese rice exports increased by 6.2% year-on-year, reaching 6.5 million tonnes by mid-September.
