Thailand-Based Crypto Investor Donates Additional £3 Million to Reform UK
British-Thai businessman Christopher Harborne strengthens Reform UK’s campaign funds with a fresh multimillion-pound contribution.
A cryptocurrency investor based in Thailand has donated a further £3 million to Reform UK, adding to the growing financial resources of the political party as it prepares for future electoral campaigns in Britain.
Christopher Harborne, a British-born businessman and technology investor who lives in Thailand, made the latest contribution during the final quarter of 2025, according to disclosures filed with the United Kingdom’s electoral authorities.
The donation helped the party raise about £5.5 million during the period, placing it ahead of other major political parties in fundraising during the same quarter.
The new gift follows an earlier contribution of £9 million from Harborne during the previous quarter, which was recorded as the largest single donation made by a living individual to a political party in modern British history.
Combined, the donations mean that Harborne has contributed at least £12 million to Reform UK within a year, making him by far the party’s largest financial supporter.
Reform UK, led by veteran campaigner Nigel Farage, has sought to expand its organisational capacity and political reach as it prepares for future elections.
Party officials say the growing war chest will support campaign infrastructure, staffing and outreach initiatives across the country.
The surge in funding has also reshaped the party’s financial standing relative to established competitors.
During the same reporting period, the governing Labour Party received roughly £2 million in donations while the Conservative Party secured about £2.4 million, excluding public funding, meaning Reform UK outpaced both major rivals in private contributions for the quarter.
Harborne is an aviation entrepreneur and early cryptocurrency investor whose wealth stems from technology ventures and digital-asset investments.
Educated in Britain and France, he has built business interests spanning aviation fuel supply, financial technology and digital currencies, and also holds stakes in several global companies.
Although intensely private, Harborne has been an active participant in British political fundraising for several years.
Before backing Reform UK, he supported earlier political movements associated with Farage and made contributions to other parties as well.
The donations have attracted political debate in Westminster, where some figures have called for tighter rules on campaign finance and transparency in political funding.
Advocates of Reform UK maintain that all contributions have been properly declared and comply fully with existing electoral law.
With the latest donation, Reform UK has strengthened its financial base ahead of upcoming political contests, highlighting the growing role that large individual donors continue to play in shaping the resources available to parties competing in Britain’s electoral landscape.
