The Thai Ministry of Finance has paused the implementation of a new international travel tax with full backing from the domestic hospitality sector. Industry leaders successfully argued that introducing additional entry fees would unnecessarily increase the financial burden on foreign visitors and undermine Thailand's regional price competitiveness just before the crucial high season.
