Thailand Ends VAT Exemption for Low-Value E-Commerce Imports

Thailand has abolished the value-added tax exemption for imported online purchases worth less than 1,500 baht, requiring tax collection from the first baht as authorities seek to reduce the advantage enjoyed by ultra-low-cost foreign goods.
