Thailand Promotes Domestic Tourism with New Campaign

Tourism Authority of Thailand collaborates with AIS to enhance travel experiences in key cities and emerging hotspots.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has initiated a partnership with Advanced Info Service (AIS) to launch the Sukjai Travel Thailand – Aunjai Everywhere campaign, aimed at revitalizing domestic tourism throughout the year.

The campaign emphasizes the appeal of both major cities and emerging destinations in Thailand.

The inaugural event took place on Banthat Thong Road in Bangkok, an area known for its culinary offerings and popularity among younger travelers.

The event featured various rewards and exclusive privileges for attendees.

AIS chief executive Somchai Lertsutiwong stated that this initiative intends to enhance Thailand's position as a leading regional tourism hub and promote sustainable income distribution to local communities through a digitally connected user experience supported by AIS's extensive network.

TAT governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool highlighted the importance of tourism in driving the national economy.

She noted that the TAT is focused on creating tourism experiences tailored to the preferences of modern digital-age travelers.

As part of the campaign, AIS has collaborated with the Banthat Thong Business Entrepreneurs Association to launch three ongoing initiatives that offer exclusive benefits.

The current event includes 10 designated Aunjai check-in points along Banthat Thong Road, where visitors, including both local residents and tourists using AIS SIM cards, can engage with the campaign.

By scanning a QR code via the myAIS app, participants can earn up to 50 AIS Points.

Completing check-ins at all 10 points unlocks a complimentary signature dish from participating restaurants, available throughout June.

In addition to the check-in incentives, AIS customers can redeem 40 AIS points for a 40-baht discount at over 100 selected restaurants in the area, a promotion that extends to the end of the year.

Furthermore, AIS has broadened its point redemption program across the nation, allowing users to participate in offerings at popular eateries during local festivals in 59 provinces.

Moreover, customers using the AIS Lucky Tourist SIM card will have access to special promotions reflecting Thailand’s cultural attractions.

These perks include discounts for entry to the Rajadamnern Muay Thai Stadium and Khao Kheow Zoo, King Power vouchers, complimentary services in Central lounges, and travel insurance coverage.
