Alipay+ Partners with TAT to Enhance Thai Tourism Experience
Thai tourism is undergoing a digital transformation as Alipay+ partners with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to enhance the travel experience. This collaboration introduces Alipay+ D-hub, an in-app program offering essential travel insights and guides to Thai destinations. Alipay+ has expanded its network to over 400,000 outlets, including plans to integrate into the Bangkok Mass Transit System.

This partnership aims to attract more tourists by introducing Alipay+ D-hub, an in-app mini-program offering essential travel insights, local hotspots, and guides to Thai destinations.
This initiative is the first of its kind globally.
TAT’s Deputy Governor for International Marketing, Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, highlighted the collaboration's potential to revolutionize Thai tourism.
The partnership also seeks to stimulate the economy by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Thailand through Alipay+’s extensive coverage and user-friendly interface.
Edward Yue, General Manager of Ant International, expressed enthusiasm for the future, emphasizing the commitment to enriching the travel experience in Thailand.
From January to April, Thailand saw over 12 million international arrivals, with Alipay+ transactions increasing by 70% during this period.
During Songkran, transactions rose by 52%, demonstrating the success of joint marketing efforts.
Alipay+ has expanded its merchant network to over 400,000 outlets across Thailand, including smaller regions such as Nakhon Phanom and Chanthaburi.
Future plans include integrating Alipay+ into the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) to further enhance the tourist experience.
