Bolt, a mobility company in Europe, has launched new security enhancements in Thailand to boost safety for both drivers and passengers. This update includes a driver selfie verification to prevent impersonation and a trip safety monitoring system to check on stationary vehicles. If a car stops for too long, the app will prompt both parties to confirm if they're safe.
Additionally, the app offers the ability to call emergency services, share trip details, or request in-app support with a single tap. Bolt is committed to further developing its safety features, aiming to foster a secure ride-hailing environment and discourage misconduct.
Nathadon Suksiritarnan, Bolt's Thailand manager, emphasizes the company's dedication to safety, citing continuous investments in the app to ensure a premium service. Existing safeguards include an SOS button for emergency police contact and a 'Share My Ride' function for live trip tracking. These initiatives are part of Bolt's efforts to maintain a trusted and protective mobility platform for its users.
