38.58 Billion Baht Earmarked to Support 4.68 Million Farming Households in 2023
The Cabinet on Tuesday allocated 38.58 billion baht to provide subsidies to 4.68 million rice-farming households across the nation this year, according to Agriculture Minister Narumon Pinyosinwat.
The funds will be used to offer a subsidy of 1,000 baht per rai, with a cap of 10 rai per family.
Once the budget receives formal Cabinet approval, the Agricultural Extension Department will forward the list of eligible farmers to the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives to disburse the payments within the year.
Farmers must have registered their farms with the Agricultural Extension Department to qualify for the subsidy.
The list of eligible farmers will be accessible on the department's website.
