Central Retail has partnered with Alipay+ to offer seamless payment options for tourists, now accepting 13 international mobile payment apps across 3,000 locations. Central Retail is capitalising on Thailand's growing tourist population by expanding its partnership with Alipay+, now accepting 13 international mobile payment apps across its 3,000 locations nationwide.
This effort, led by Piyawan Leelasompop, the Head of Central Retail's Corporate Marketing, aims to provide a seamless and familiar shopping experience for tourists.
Additionally, Central Retail has joined the Amazing Thailand e-card initiative, an Alipay+ and Tourism Authority of Thailand collaboration, to offer targeted promotions and increase store visibility.
Data indicates a significant rise in Alipay+ transactions, particularly in key markets like Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, and South Korea, with a noteworthy increase in spending at Central Retail supermarkets, exemplified by a 400% rise in Tops transactions in Q2 compared to Q1.
