Miss Thailand Achieves Third Runner-Up at Miss Universe 2024
Suchata Chuangsri Excels in 73rd Miss Universe Pageant Held in Mexico City
Miss Thailand, Suchata 'Opal' Chuangsri, secured the title of third runner-up in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, which took place in Mexico City on November 16, 2024.
A 21-year-old from Phuket, Thailand, Suchata is currently studying international relations at Thammasat University and is fluent in Thai, English, and Chinese.
Her journey in pageants began with the Miss Rattanakosin contest in 2021, and she notably won a special award for Miss Natural Beauty at the Miss Universe Thailand pageant in 2022.
This year, she was crowned Miss Universe Thailand in July.
Suchata entered pageantry to raise awareness about breast cancer, following her own surgery to remove a breast tumor at age 16.
The Miss Universe 2024 title was won by Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, with Miss Nigeria and Miss Mexico as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
