NetDragon and Thai Government Forge AI Partnership to Build Future-Ready Workforce

Memorandum of Understanding signed to embed artificial intelligence across Thailand’s education-to-career ecosystem and prepare talent for the AI era
NetDragon Websoft Holdings, a global leader in digital learning platforms, has partnered with its Thai subsidiary and the government to advance a national strategy to prepare Thailand’s workforce for an AI-driven future.

Launched in Bangkok, the government-backed initiative aims to embed artificial intelligence throughout the learning-to-career pipeline, linking education, skills development and employment to boost productivity and competitiveness in the rapidly evolving labour market.

The collaboration reflects Thailand’s broader policy efforts to make AI a core engine of workforce readiness and long-term economic growth.

At the centre of the initiative is a formally signed Memorandum of Understanding between NetDragon, EDA (Thailand) and Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

The agreement establishes a long-term framework to co-develop AI-enabled learning platforms, comprehensive skills assessment tools and career linkage mechanisms designed to align training directly with real-world demand.

By integrating competency measurement and personalised learning pathways, officials say the programme will redefine job readiness for the AI era while ensuring that workforce development translates into measurable productivity and employability outcomes.

In remarks at the event, Dr. Simon Leung, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of NetDragon, emphasised the rapid pace of AI transformation and the necessity of proactive policy support to ensure broad-based societal benefit.

He noted that AI is evolving at an unprecedented speed and that governments must play an active role in shaping inclusive and future-centred workforce initiatives.

The partnership also highlights AI’s potential as a productivity equaliser for small and medium-sized enterprises, enabling broader access to talent equipped with market-relevant skills.

Officials and industry representatives involved in the programme describe the collaboration as a scalable model for other emerging economies.

By embedding advanced AI technologies across skills assessment, training and career matching, the initiative seeks not only to prepare Thai talent at scale but also to support sustainable economic growth and strengthen cross-sector collaboration across education, industry and government.
